Rating of Difficulty: Easy to moderate (the last portion of the hike, getting to top of the bluff, can be challenging especially with regard to footing -- there are a lot of loose rocks)

North West Bluff Trail winds through Rendezvous village, an arid small thorn tree filled valley with great views of the dry grassy plane of the island. Surprisingly there are lots of small fruit trees -- Sour Sop, Sybil Sweet Orange and Sugar Apples. There are also great views of Montserrat's very rugged North and West coastlines. After climbing the final hill to reach the top of the bluff you will be rewarded with a panoramic view of the southward coastline. In the background to the west lie the islands of St. Kitts and Nevis. This trail has very little shelter. It is wide open with only a spot of shade and so should be done very early in the morning
