BANKING
& CURRENCY EXCHANGE
The EC dollar is the official currency in Montserrat, but US dollars are
widely circulated and accepted. Be aware that if you deposit a foreign
check in your bank account in Montserrat, it can take up to six weeks
before you will have access to your funds. If you have electronic access
to your foreign bank, simply print the statement that the check has cleared
your account and bring it to the bank as documentation that the funds
have been transferred. That will speed things up.

Cell: (664)493-5394
Email: Not yet.
Hours: Please call and I will be happy to offer my services.
Specialty: Having worked in a variety of Hotels and guest houses
in Montserrat including The Vue Pointe Hotel and Restaurant,
I am well versed in what your friends or party goers will want as beverages.
Often if I am not familiar with the drink requested, with a little help
from the customer I will be able to accommodate almost any taste or request.
Since the closing of the Vue Pointe, I have found that my services
have been requested more frequently for private parties and get-together's.
Owners comment: I have been working for over 9 years in Hotels
and Bars here in Montserrat. I can make a very appealing rum punch or
have a variety of premixed alcoholic and non alcoholic mixes. Also, being
schooled here in Montserrat I have a wide variety of experience in dealing
with people from many counties and cultures. I was also the valet for
the Governor during better times in Montserrat, so my service is excellent
and my demeanor always gracious. Just give me a call and tell me where
to come and when and your Cocktail party will have the service of a professional.
BEACHES
Bunkam Bay
As
you can see by the sign in the photograph on the left, this is the steep
road down to Bunkam Bay Beach. This is another of Montserrat's very secluded
small beaches formed of black volcanic sand. The photograph below is of
the wooden bridge leading through a short stretch of woods to the beach
itself.

Lime
Kiln
In the Olveston area, Lime Kiln beach is another of Montserrat’s
small black sand beaches backed by cliffs and lush vegetation.
Little
Bay
This beach area lies beside the only port in Montserrat.
Old
Road Bay
This is a wide black sand beach at the foot of the valley where Montserrat’s
small golf course provided diversion before the volcanic eruption of 1997.
With repeated flows of material from the mountains above, the golf course
was completely covered, though on the plus side the beach has grown steadily
wider.
Rendevous
Bay
This is the only light colored sand beach in Montserrat. Its turquoise
waters make it very appealing. Getting there and back is a strenuous hike
or a comfortable boat ride from Little Bay.
Woodland's
Bay
Montserrat’s most popular beach, Woodland's is a small black sand
beach with active surf and sometimes tricky currents. There are changing
rooms, rest rooms, showers and picnic facilities. Note: The photograph
on the right was taken just after we had a close call with a hurricane.
With very stormy waters, many of the beaches on the island are temporarily
covered in rocks.
