Our goal in developing Montserrat-Today.com is the same as it was when we wrote the Taxco-Today.com site for the Mexican mountain town we lived in before moving to Montserrat. That goal is to create a web site totally devoted to and including all the information on one particular place. Our Taxco-Today.com site is commercial. It has paid advertising and it has proved extremely popular with the town's residents and with visitors from around the world -- it gets more than 2,500,000 hits annually and more than 550,000 visits. We are hoping that Montserrat-Today.com will be equally popular.

Montserrat-Today.com is a free site. We have included information and photographs gathered when we are on island. Everything and everyone on the site is someone or something we have crossed paths with in our years here – omissions are not intentional nor are any inaccuracies.

If you know something that should be included on the site, let us know. If you have a correction to give us, please write. If you have more current information than is on the site, write to us and let us know. Aside from creating an informational web site, we hope to stimulate communication across the island and to help all of us here in Montserrat to live better lives. What could be wrong with that?

If you are interested in having a notice about you, your business, an event or another item of interest, here is how to submit the information. All free submissions must be by email and must conform to our specified format. If that requirement is not met there will be a nominal charge for inclusion on the site.

ADVERTISING YOUR SERVICE OR BUSINESS

Send the following information in the order requested and a photograph (maximum size 325 x 300 pixels jpg format only) to us at:

1. Name of your business
2. Owner’s name
3. Business Address
4. Business telephone number, fax number , email and web site address (if you have a web site)
5. Business Description: Please write up to one hundred words describing your business or service, including such information as your experience, your number of years in business, your specialty and your references here in Montserrat.

Note: If you would prefer to have us produce your advertisement, we will be pleased to do so. There will be a one time charge of $100 ECD. If you want us to produce your advertisement, please send us an email with your telephone number and the most convenient time for us to call.

CLASSIFIED ADVERTISING

If you have something to sell or barter, want to buy something, hire someone or get something done, this is the place to put a notice.

1. Your name, address and the best way to contact you
2. Describe in thirty words or less what you are looking to sell or buy, the service you require, the person you wish to hire or the services you want to provide.
3. If you are sending us information on something you’d like to sell, send along a photo if you wish -- maximum size 325 x 300 pixels jpg format only.
4. If you cannot send your advertisement in this format for some reason, please get in touch.

WHAT WE WILL DO

We will place your business or service advertisement or classified advertisement along with the photo you send on the site exactly as you have sent it to us, reserving the right to refuse anything we deem inappropriate.

WHAT WE WOULD LIKE
We’d like to hear if your advertisement is successful and we’d like to hear what your customers have to say about the site. We hope to improve it as time goes along, but remember this is a community service not a commercial site so please be patient with us and wish the project well. We hope it helps everyone in Montserrat and all of those who will be visiting the island.
